Thank you A. Fatih Syuhud for having selected us (Indi + Rani) as blogger(s) of the week! True enough to his review, we write out of passion of different topics that we encounter in our daily life. Why do we do it? No reason other than wanting to update our family and friends in Indonesia while we're stranded here in Singapore. That's why many have criticized our blog for lacking focused content. But we never really intend to be focused, and as such we will keep on writing whatever comes across our mind at any given moments.
Our 2.5 year old son Noe is so good at this. Just look at how fast he is going on his kick scooter (otopet).
Check this out:

Our observations: Although his verbal skill is not yet fully developed, his motoric and hand-eye coordination skills are above average.
I have already made up my mind way before I started reading The Random Walk Guide To Investing by Burton Malkiel. Yes, I (kinda) fired my Financial Advisor/Planner. Why? Because I found out the Whole-Life insurance policy that I bought in 2005 naïvely based on his recommendation actually allowed him to make at least ten times more in sales commission than if I bought a simple Term-Life insurance. His sales commission for Whole-Life insurance was nearly 100% of my annual premium. For Term-Life, his commission was no more than 20%. You see... no wonder he never offered me Term-Life.

I think God punished me yesterday for going to Botak Jones three times within one week.
Just when I was about to finish my cajun meal with Eddy and Alex (both are from the Lau clan but unrelated to Andy Lau), I felt like I had a mixture of mustard and mayonnaise splattering on my face. The hearty stuff went into my eye, my mouth and stained my shirt! I waited for a few seconds and licked the corner of my mouth. It tasted kinda... fresh. Perhaps too refreshing for something that come out of a bottle.
Then I found out that the mustard-cum-mayonnaise was a fresh pigeon dropping. What a Guano day!
PS: Someone told me that I should have bought Lottery tickets yesterday.
Our dear friend Jeffrey Yap is working on a project called Happy Mums 2 Be. It's been an honor to have an opportunity to work with him who is passionate about photography. What do you think?
As you might have known, three months ago Yahoo announced that it gave unlimited email storage, and they began to phase in the mailbox upgrade. In June, I became one of the lucky customer who gets unlimited storage.
You might have read in Weaned that Noe has made an announcement of his wish to self-wean. This is when Noe stopped night feeding (he had stopped daytime feeding for quite some time already). At that time, I noticed that my milk production is at its lowest point. I practically couldn't press anything out of my boobies and didn't feel any let-down anymore. It's totally empty!
Well, since a week ago, I noticed a change in Noe's night feeding pattern. He began to latch onto me for a longer period and seemed to enjoy breastfeeding again. Of course it is not fulfilling for him, so he still asks for other milk on top of the night breastfeeding session. I wonder why this change of pattern?
On 13 July 2007 my father (Hindro) and I boarded Batavia Air from Jakarta to Bali to attend a wedding. We were seated on row 14 (me on the aisle and my father in between me and the window seat) of Boeing 737 aircraft that seemed to be much older than the average age of the flight crew. One stewardess told us that everyone on aisle 14 were supposed to be aware of the "overwing emergency exit door/hatch" on the starboard (right) and port (left) and that whoever is sitting closest to it should operate it in an emergency.
